Gouging machine - for cane length 120mm (118mm or 126mm available by special order) includes guillotine for cutting split tube cane to length. Easily adjustable cane thickness and blade settings.
Profiling machine - available with a blade for scoring the cane midpoint or two blades for scoring blade midpoint and collar. A beautifully made and solid machine.
Tip profiling machine - profiles the front third of the reed, allowing for a consistent and repeatable starting point for the scraping process. Available with standard profile or custom profile (please call for details concerning information needed for custom profile). Within a given profile there is the ability to increase or decrease thickness or increase or decrease the length of the profile. Our customers have told us that this machine has had the biggest impact on the consistency and success of their reeds.

I have put much thought into how to handle the fluctuation in exchange rates between the Euro and the US Dollar, and believe I have come up with a way to do this that is fair to everyone. This new policy will only apply to the Rieger machines (Gouging, Profiling, Tip Profiling and Reed Winding Machines) and parts. Our new policy will be to multiply the price of the machine or part (based on a 1 to 1 ratio between the Euro and the US Dollar) by the current exchange rate at the time of shipment to you to determine your cost. For example, if the dollar and the Euro were equal in value (1:1), the base price of a standard tip profiling machine would be $1090.00. If the Euro is worth more than the dollar, your cost will be higher. If the Euro is worth less than the dollar, your cost will be lower. This method will allow the cost to you to be proportional to our cost from Rieger. At the time you place your order, I will charge your credit card the base price. After Rieger charges me for your machine (approximately 1 month after your order is placed) I will charge you the balance of the machine price, plus shipping/handling. To determine the balance, the base price above will be multiplied by the exchange rate used when Rieger charged me for your machine(s), then I’ll subtract the amount already paid and charge you the remainder.
